The nearest parking lots are in Espoo: at Tornimäentie 10 and at the Kalajärvi fitness track along Vihdintie. Kurkijärven Maja is located in the middle of Kalajärvi, Korpilampi and Vestra and Petikko in Vantaa, and the Petikko-Serena outdoor trail, the Route 2000 cycling trail and in winter the ski trails maintained by the sports and outdoor activities of the cities of Espoo and Vantaa from Petikko, Serena and Kalajärvi run through the forest farm. Distances 7 km from Petikko, 7.5 km from Keimola, 2 km from Kalajärvi, 800 m from Serena and about 1 km south of the forest path from the last stop of the 443 bus in Vestra. Kurkijärven Maja is a private family forest farm and private area with a private courtyard. Kurkijärven Maja is privately owned and the architect-designed hut, log cabin, courtyard and surrounding forest are owned by Niina Ihalainen. On opening days, there are welcome signs for the public to become guests of the hut and enter the courtyard along the trails running through the hut. Please note that the lodge does not have a telephone service or office staff during the ski season, and the ski-side services and the ski-side café planned in cooperation with the cities will be available in the outdoor area and outdoor terraces in the first phase of 2022 (normally Sat 11 am-5 pm and Sun 11 am-4 pm). The ski-side terraces and the ski-side café on the lodge's grounds have been implemented in cooperation with the sports and outdoor activities of the cities of Vantaa and Espoo, as well as local operators. You are welcome to visit the lodge for private events and on the days the lodge is open, either while skiing to the ski-side café or while out and about, and also with the whole family and even for a coffee, even when out with the dog.
